Glengoyne is renowned for its sherry cask–matured single malts. So how do we sell their exclusive range of oak cask finished whiskies to new consumers and Glengoyne traditionalists?
We had to show the Japanese influence of Mizunara Oak while retaining the distinct character of this Scotch whisky icon.
Mizunara translates as ‘water oak’, so we used sumi-e – Japanese ink and water painting – to bring to life the beauty, craft and mastery behind the casks that make this whisky. The design portrays the distillery’s Dumgoyne Hill and reinterprets the Japanese crane as the Glengoyne goose.
