THE CHALLENGE

Scottish Fine Soaps lacked clarity and direction as a brand. Seen as too premium to be ‘just soap’ yet not premium enough to compete with the likes of Aesop, they needed to define what they’re truly offering to grow and compete.

THE TENSION

The growth opportunity lay in premium soap, where appeal goes way beyond hygiene. For premium consumers, soap represents ritualistic self-care and a symbol of taste. Quality scents aren’t enough; premium brands must offer a story and an experience.

OUR POINT OF VIEW

Let’s build on our provenance and move from selling soap to selling Scotland. For well-heeled consumers who like dabbling in nature – as long as they’re home in time for tea, we can sell them an adventurous escape to the remote Scottish wilderness – all from the comfort of home.
